What Exactly Does Dog Walking Include and Entail?

Nancy and Jessica will pick up your dog at your home. Then we will walk your pup safely around your neighborhood for 30 minutes. We let your dog choose the route, (when safe to do so), stop and sniff at their leisure, or walk briskly if they want to. We supply the leash, if necessary, water for the dog while we walk, and treats (if allowed.) All dog waste is always picked up with biodegradable bags and we will dispose of it. When the walk ends, you will receive an email from DoggyLogs with a map of our walking route, the duration of the walk, photos from the walk, a note about the walk, a checklist of what we did on the walk, and what “doggie business” was accomplished. Expect to have some happy dog zoomies around the house when we return, which is your pup’s way of telling you how much fun they had with us!

What Exactly Does Doggie Day Care/Overnight Boarding Include and Entail?

Either your dog will be dropped off at Nancy and Jessica’s home in Carrboro, NC, or for a small fee, we will pick up your dog at your house and deliver them back home when their appointment ends. Once at our home, your pup will be the only one in our care, and will be pampered like they are part of the family. We will take long walks together, play together, and cuddle together. They will have our full attention, never be left alone, and they will have lots toys to play with and comfy places to rest — a fluffy dog bed and two sofas downstairs, and another comfy dog bed and two human beds upstairs. We encourage you to provide your own dog food, (it helps prevent GI issues from a sudden change in diet), or we can feed your dog our special, organic Halo dog food. We supply food bowls, water bowls, toys, and bedding, which are always washed between appointments. Treats are also available, if allowed. We can also give your dog any necessary medication.

If staying overnight with us, your pup will sleep wherever they are most comfortable. We do not provide crates, although if you dog prefers sleeping in one, you are welcome to provide that. Feel free to bring any favorite toy(s) to make them feel more at home, as well.

We know it can be stressful to not have your beloved pet with you, so we will also text and email you a message from DoggyLogs with maps and durations of our walks, photos, and updates throughout their stay so you know how they are doing. Please contact us if you have any other questions. 

Payment

Payment is required after dog care services are provided — when your dog is returned to you at the end of a walk or at the end of a doggie daycare stay. We accept cash, personal checks, or digital payments through Venmo @TailWag-Walkers, ApplePay (nanlargent@gmail.com), PayPal, or Cash App ($NancyLargent). Tail Wag Walkers helps support Paws4Ever and Orange County Animal Services from a percentage of the proceeds we earn with our dog care services.
